CKO-Purple 8% has been developed for the removal of a broad range of acid gases. These are common in for example outside air, in buildings, in industry and in exhaust gases of cars. The gases are removed by means of the chemisorption process in which the gases react with the potassium permanganate and are converted into harmless salts that are stored in the pellet. This process is irreversible, which means the gases cannot return to the air stream.
