Clean Air, Activated Carbon Solutions
Preventive conservation
Museums and archives are there to preserve our cultural heritage to the elements of time. Gas phase contamination coming from traffic, industry and households can damage the artifacts, causing complete destruction or high costs of restauration. Air purification can save our heritage and lower the costs of restauration.

Detecting the problem
Acid gases that cause the most of the damage at artifacts can be detected in an early stage by the use of our corrosion coupons. Corrosion that forms on silver and copper strips due to these gases serves as an indicator of the air quality in a room or from the outside air supply. These tests provide essential insights into whether your artifacts are protected from harmful gases or at risk.
Solution
When harmful gases are detected, CFI can provide a solution to remove these gases and create an air quality which is safe for your artifacts and archival pieces. Often these solutions can be implemented in your existing air handling units, or we can advise you to add local solutions to clean the air.
