Laboratories
Many chemicals can be used in hospital laboratories. Chemicals that are used for disinfection, cleaning or processes can emit harmful or toxic gases. These gases can pose a threat to patients, staff or other medical treatments like IVF. Proper filtration can prevent these gases to escape from these laboratories and can protect people and treatments.
Outside air contamination
Hospitals are usually inside city environments where traffic, industrial activity and households can pollute the air with unhealthy gases. Through the outside air supply of the ventilation systems, this pollution can enter the healthcare facility and cause harm to patients and staff.
Larger hospitals can have a helicopter platform on the roof, where usually the outside air supply is also taken from. Exhaust gases from the helicopter can be taken in, every time it takes off or lands.
